Who we’re looking for

We need marketing strategists who love researching and coming up with effective ways for clients to broaden their reach and grow their sales through advertising, promo campaigns, and content. We’re looking for someone who is a data analyst who thrives on scrutinizing the performance of campaigns to see what works and doesn’t work.

What you’d be doing

You will expand your marketing strategy skills by working with other industry professionals to promote Kraken and our clients. You’ll work with other strategists and channel managers to help plan and execute social media, email marketing, paid media, and SEO blog article plans; analyze KPIs to see what’s working and not working; optimize or recreate campaigns as needed; generate reports for clients; and assist with project management. You’ll help create high-quality campaigns for Kraken and our clients to help elevate products and services and build your skills.

The amount of work we’ll have available for you will vary week-to-week. This role is ideal for a freelancer who enjoys flexibility in their schedule but has availability for occasional meetings with clients during normal business hours.

What skills & attributes you need

We hire contractors who are based in the U.S. and have excellent communication skills in English. A marketing degree or equivalent professional experience is required because we need someone with an eye for good marketing campaigns and strategies. You’ll need to be able to work well with others and communicate effectively.

What would help you look even more qualified

Google Analytics and Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) experience will help you in this role, as well as experience meeting with clients, asking strategic questions, and presenting strategies to them. Experience with task management applications like Asana will make it easier for you to get onboard with our process. A solid track record of creating successful marketing campaigns will make you shine. A working knowledge of AI and its ability to speed up your tasks, coupled with an understanding that it often produces sub-par results and needs expert human intervention, is a huge plus.
